My interest in photography began with a
present from my parents when I was ten
years of age: a Brownie Box Camera.
Although photography took a back seat to
oil painting, watercolors, pastels, charcoal,
and ink washes in college, I always had a
camera; and I always took far more
pictures than anyone else.
Upon moving to Maine in 1997, the visual
impact of this beautiful area created the
need to capture as much as possible on
film. With the advent of digital cameras, I
am able to greatly increase my resource of
Maine imagery.
Most recently I've combined my love of
painting with my passion for Maine
photography to create acrylic paintings on
canvas in an effort to present a high
quality piece of art.
I will probably always be a "tourist" at
heart and hope never to take for granted
the beauty that refreshes my spirit on a
daily basis. Many of my images are from
the water aboard the Carol Lyn, a
perspective not available to everyone.
I hope you enjoy them.

Tough Job for a photographer:
Sailing aboard the "Carol Lyn"
trying to capture the inherent
beauty of the Maine coastline.
